Every time someone of any age uses a KIDPOWER skill to be safe, the efforts of many have succeeded.
That moment of safety comes THANKS TO :
The volunteers who plan and fill workshops in their schools, neighborhoods, businesses, and clubs and
Each person who tells others of our services or writes us a letter of appreciation;
The corporations, foundations and grant sources contributing funds to provide KIDPOWER training for children, people with disabilities, and others facing a high risk of violence;
The educators and social service professionals who make KIDPOWER a priority because they know children need to feel safe in order to learn;
Thanks to the individuals whose donations ensure that lack of money does not prevent those most in need from getting access to the skills we teach and that we have the funds we need to build our organization for the future.
The shared commitment of this diverse team is the foundation of KIDPOWER's success, and thanks to your support in all its forms, KIDPOWER Montreal is growing into a strong regional community service organization that will prepare people to take charge of their well-being for many years to come.

Thank you to the following groups that have, in various ways, generously supported KIDPOWER Montreal:
We appreciate the leadership shown by our committee and government partners in their sponsorship of specific KIDPOWER projects promoting community safety.
The leadership of local daycares, schools, community organizations, and committees provides crucial support for KIDPOWER's efforts to ensure equitable access to the skills we teach. The belief of an individual principal, a teacher, a parent, a director, a social worker, a counselor, or a club leader in the value of these skills is often the catalyst that ultimately results in KIDPOWER training for many. We extend our most sincere thanks to each one of you who has taken the time and the initiative to bring KIDPOWER to your community, either through coordinating or sponsoring a local workshop or for those professionnals who’ve helped implement the daily use and practice of People Safety Skills in their environment. Many people are safer, thanks to your efforts!
COMMUNITY GROUPS
Some community groups advocate for the needs of specific populations while others bring together people with similar interests or life situations. In either case these organizations have worked to make KIDPOWER available for their groups not just for the safety of each individual but also to improve the communication between each person and help their staff further each individual’s effective learning of People Safety Skills. To all these community organizations, we extend a sincere "Thank you!"
Association du Québec pour l’intégration sociale (AQIS) provided our very first funding support to help us tailor and offer our programs to adults with development delays and their advocates. AQIS as well as Institut québécois de la déficience intellectuelle have continued to support and promote our programs in various ways over the years.
Since 2003, we’ve closely collaborated with TANDEM Villeray-St-Michel-Parc Extension. They have sponsored several of our workshops. And more recently have partnered with us to offer safety skills training to seniors. The funding for this project is possible thanks to the generous support of the Villeray-St-Michel Parc Extension Burrough and Mayor’s Office.
SCHOOLS AND DAYCARES When daycares and schools make the teaching and learning of KIDPOWER skills a priority, they are communicating to children, parents, and the community at large about the high value they place on using time and resources to provide young people with the mentorship they deserve in learning skills for being safe with people. Countless parents, PTA presidents, principals, daycare directors, counselors, after-school program coordinators, and other daycare or school representatives have worked hard to make sure their daycare or school community experiences KIDPOWER, and we thank each of you for your commitment.
MANY THANKS TO THE SCHOOLS AND DAYCARES WE’VE WORKED WITH FOR HELPING TO CREATE SAFER, MORE CARING AND RESPECTFUL CULTURES :
