Services for Parents &
Caring Adults
Educational conferences
Many daycares, preschools, schools, CEGEPs and universities, municipalities and boroughs choose to offer one of our educational conferences. These conferences target parents, educators, teachers and other caring adults and support staff (school nurses, councillors, crossing guards etc.).
Participants learn how to practice and present safety skills in and outside of the school, at home and throughout the community.
OUR FOCUS
For parents with young children, this option helps answer the question: “How do I teach my children about safety without scaring them?”
For parents of older children and teens, this conference can provide an answer to the problem of “How can I create a balance between my children’s safety and their growing independence?”
CONTENT
Content can always be adapted depending on specific organizational needs, regionalized needs, or social issues that plague the community at large. In the absence of children, this option offers parents and school staff a good platform to broach more mature subject matter, but also to inform, educate and help cope with complex social phenomenon like weapons, gangs and violence.
WORKSHOP
Group size is limited only by room size, the ability of participants to move freely during activities, and to have a non-obstructed view of presenter. A microphone and sound system is necessary for large groups.
Conference length can set between one and three hours depending on the organizer’s wishes and the groups needs.
